Advantages

Advantages of floodlight masts

Maintenance without special equipment

No special equipment is needed to maintain the lighting fixtures.

Safe servicing

Safe access to the fixtures on the mast. The lower part of the ladder has a lockable hatch.

Platforms for equipment

A wide choice of platforms (cassettes) for floodlights, with room for additional equipment.

Simple installation

The mast is assembled from sections up to 12 m long and lifted by crane so that its base flange sits on the foundation anchor bolts.

Convenient access

Convenient access to and adjustment of the fixtures. The service hatch is closed with a security bolt.

Corrosion protection

Corrosion protection by hot-dip galvanising to DSTU EN ISO 1461:2024.

Design service life — 40 years

Industrial floodlight masts

We design masts for ports, terminals and industrial sites for the required height and number of floodlights.

Head frame: fixed or lowering

The head frame is the attachment with platforms for the floodlights: a fixed one is attached to the top section, a lowering one is brought down by a winch so that the fixtures can be serviced at ground level without special equipment. More in the “Dimensions, foundation and installation” block below.

Airport masts

For airports we make masts with red-and-white signal painting of the sections.

Standard PMS and PMZH masts for substations

There are standard floodlight masts for substations: PMS (steel lattice) and PMZH (reinforced concrete), to design series 3.407.9-172. We make the PMS to the standard drawings, and for the PMZH we make the steel fittings (we do not supply reinforced concrete). In place of the standard masts, though, we offer multi-sided ones.

A multi-sided mast instead of the standard one

A multi-sided mast stands on one compact foundation, with no lattice or multi-legged base, and hot-dip galvanising protects it from corrosion. The direct multi-sided equivalents of PMS and PMZH are the PMS-B series (16.6–32.5 m to the floodlight platform). The marks are in the article Floodlight Masts PMS, PMZH and Our PMV, PMK: What’s the Difference.

PMZH fittings adapted to hot-dip galvanising

We make the PMZH fittings to the standard drawings. However, the drawings of the standard PMZH masts do not meet the requirements for products that can be hot-dip galvanised, so at the customer’s request we offer a better version, adapted to hot-dip galvanising.

If the customer wants to use a reinforced-concrete mast, we make its fittings (the floodlight platform, the ladder, the lightning rod and other steel parts) to the requirements of hot-dip galvanising. Design rules for such structures are in the article Designing Steel Structures for Hot-dip Galvanising: Holes, Welds, Stress.

Dimensions, foundation and installation

Tables of dimensions and scope of PM masts 12–20 m, anchor cages, installation stages, coating and documents are in PM Floodlight Masts 12–20 m: Dimensions, Anchor Cages and Scope of Application. A passport, an operating manual and accompanying documentation are issued for the masts.

What determines the price of a floodlight mast

We calculate the price individually for each site. It depends on:

  • mast height and number of shaft sections;
  • crown type: fixed or lowering with a lifting mechanism;
  • number and weight of floodlights and equipment platforms;
  • wind region and operating conditions;
  • foundation (design and embedded parts);
  • coating, aviation marking for airports, delivery and installation (its cost is calculated separately each time; installation is carried out by a licensed construction partner company).
How to order floodlight masts
  • Send a plan of the site or pitch, the required height and number of masts (if already defined) or fill in the technical specification form.
  • We agree the crown type, loads and foundation.
  • We calculate the price and the lead time.
  • We manufacture and ship the masts with a passport, operating instructions and accompanying documentation.
Multi-sided equivalents of PMS and PMZH: the PMS-B series

The PMS-B series consists of six multi-sided masts with a platform height of 16.6–32.5 m, designed for wind regions 1–4, up to 16 floodlights and a maximum equipment windage area of 3.2 m². The marks and overall heights are in the table of the article Floodlight Masts PMS, PMZH and Our PMV, PMK: What’s the Difference.

Questionnaire: technical assignment form

Fill in the form and email it to us: we will prepare the KM-stage design documentation from it and calculate the price. The PDF is handy to print; the DOCX can be filled in on a computer.

Questions

Floodlight masts: frequently asked questions

What height of floodlight mast should I choose?

The height is set by the lighting calculation, which takes into account the size of the site, the number and type of floodlights and the required illuminance. In our PMV range the heights are 20, 24, 30 and 34 m, and lower masts are made in the PM range of 12–20 m. For stadiums and sports grounds the height is derived from an angle of at least 25°: details are on the page Stadium Lighting.

What do I need to send for a price calculation?

The mast height, the number and model of floodlights, whether a lightning rod is needed and its height, whether there is a ladder and a guard, the city, the wind pressure region and the terrain type. Guide prices (incl. VAT, as of September 2026): PM masts of 12–20 m from UAH 40,000 each, multi-sided PMV masts from UAH 159,000 each; what the price depends on is covered in 30 m Floodlight Mast.

Do you make standard PMS and PMZH masts for substations?

We make PMS masts to the standard drawings. For the PMZH we make the steel fittings (floodlight platform, ladder, lightning rod and other steel parts) and do not supply the reinforced concrete. The drawings of the standard PMZH masts do not meet the requirements for products that can be hot-dip galvanised, so at the customer’s request we offer a better version, adapted to hot-dip galvanising: the fittings are made to the requirements of that coating. More often, though, we offer multi-sided masts in their place: they stand on one compact foundation. More in the article Floodlight Masts PMS, PMZH and Our PMV, PMK: What’s the Difference.

How much does a floodlight mast cost?

The price depends on height, crown type, number of floodlights, wind region, foundation and coating. Send the parameters or the technical specification form and we will calculate the price and lead time.

Where can I see completed masts?

Ports and industrial sites are on this page; stadiums and sports grounds (Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipro) are on the page Stadium Lighting; all projects are on the page Completed Projects.

Need floodlight masts for your site?

Send us the height, the number of floodlights and the location. We will calculate the price and the lead time for manufacture; installation is carried out by a licensed construction partner company.
