Manufacturing

Products: power line poles, lighting, masts, telecom towers

Steel multi-sided poles and metal structures for power engineering, infrastructure and telecom. We design, manufacture and galvanize; installation is carried out by a licensed construction partner company.

What we make and how the product families relate

The base of most products is a bent multi-sided shaft (the sheet is bent on a press, the longitudinal seam is welded, flanges are welded on where needed) or a lattice structure made of angle steel; the fittings for 0.4–10 kV lines (crossarms, clamps, caps) are the exception. Loads, height and purpose differ.

One pole, several functions

The families can be combined: a catenary mast carries insulated cable (SIP) and luminaires, a telecom mast carries lighting and an air-termination rod, a lightning protection mast can also be a lighting column.

How to choose a pole or mast

  • Task. What the pole has to carry: luminaires, a camera, antennas, conductors, a catenary or a flag. This sets the type, a multi-sided shaft or a lattice tower; for lighting also the profile, see multi-sided or conical poles.
  • Loads and wind region. Mass and area of the equipment, conductor tension, wind and ice regions, terrain type; wind pressure values W0 for regional centres are in Wind Regions of Ukraine.
  • Height and reach. Mounting height of the equipment, reach of the bracket or cantilever; for lighting see How to Choose the Height of a Lighting Pole; for masts and towers see Height of a Telecom Mast or Tower.
  • Base fixing. Either a flange on an anchor cage or direct embedment in the ground; the foundation depends on it, see Foundation Anchor Cages FPO, FPM, FKM; foundation types and choice by soil are in Foundations for Masts, Towers and Power Line Poles.
  • Coating. The main coating is hot-dip galvanising, with paint when needed; where aviation marking is required, red-and-white signal painting (tall towers and masts, including those near airfields).
  • Documents and inspection. Agree the list of documents and the scope of weld inspection before fabrication starts.

Materials, galvanising and production

The basis is our own full production cycle: cutting, press bending, welding and galvanising.

Preparing a product for the bath: Designing for Hot-dip Galvanising; the service: Hot-dip galvanising. Items longer than the bath, such as poles, are galvanised in sections.

Inspection during production

Incoming metal inspection, dimensional checks, visual and ultrasonic inspection of welds, zinc thickness measurement, laboratory control; welding is done by qualified welders. More in Quality Control of Steel Structures and Custom steel fabrication.

What to send for a calculation

Send what you know:

  • the product family, type of pole or mast, quantity;
  • height, reach of the bracket or cantilever;
  • loads: mass and area of luminaires, antennas or cameras; for lines the voltage, number of circuits, conductor grade and cross-section;
  • wind and ice regions, terrain type, soils;
  • fixing (flange or ground), coating, scope of inspection and documents;
  • KM or KMD drawings or a technical specification form, lead time and delivery address.

Leave blank any item you do not know; we will clarify it.

Products: frequently asked questions

How is a multi-sided pole different from a lattice tower?

A multi-sided pole is a solid bent shaft with a longitudinal seam; a lattice tower consists of legs and bracing and lets the wind pass through. We choose the type by height, loads and site conditions.

What steel and coating do you use for poles?

The main steel grades are St3, S245, S345 and 09G2S. The base coating is hot-dip galvanising in our own bath, optionally with paint (BT-577 varnish is standard for fittings for 0.4–10 kV lines).

What is the lead time?

Typically 3–4 weeks if the product is not in stock. We give the exact time after the calculation.

How much does a pole cost?

Lighting poles cost from UAH 3,800 to 39,000 each depending on the range and height (indicative, as of September 2026, including VAT): Lighting Pole Prices. Brackets and crossarms are not included in the pole price: they have a separate price list (see Brackets, crossarms and caps). Galvanising costs UAH 20–38 per kg including VAT (also indicative, as of September 2026), see what the price depends on. Other products are priced from your parameters.

Can I order a product to my own drawing?

Yes. We fabricate to the customer’s KM or KMD drawings; without drawings, Steel structure design can help. There is no minimum order for hot-dip galvanising.

Do you perform X-ray testing of welds?

No. We check welds visually and by ultrasound; if the design requires X-ray testing, tell us when you enquire.

What is the warranty on the products?

The warranty period for our products is 2 years.
