Custom steel fabrication
We fabricate steel structures to your drawings and to our own designs: sheet cutting, press bending, welding, hot-dip galvanising and quality control — a full in-house cycle. The shop’s capacity is 500 t per month.

Steel fabrication is the making of steel structures to drawings: sheet cutting, bending, welding, hot-dip galvanising and quality control. All of these operations are done at our own works.
What we fabricate
Standard poles and masts and one-off products made to the customer’s drawings.
Lighting poles and masts
Multi-sided bent shafts with a longitudinal seam and flanges: lighting poles, floodlight masts, cantilever poles.
Power line poles and substation gantries
Steel poles for power lines and structures for substations: shafts, cross-arms, flanged joints.
Lattice towers and antenna masts
Structures made of angle steel: cutting to length, bolt holes, assembly and welding of the joints.
Flagpoles and lightning protection
Tall flagpoles, masts and lightning rods made of steel pole segments.
Greenhouses
Greenhouse frames: design and manufacture with hot-dip galvanising.
Products to the customer’s drawings
Frames, platforms, ladders, embedded parts and other structures made of sheet and rolled steel.
Why order fabrication from the POLYGONAL company
Full cycle
Cutting, bending, welding and hot-dip galvanising are done at our own production, so responsibility for the result stays with a single contractor.
500 t per month
We take on series orders and large batches; lead times are given after we review the drawings.
2000 t press and a 13 m bath
Sheet up to 25 mm thick and up to 12 m long is bent on the press; the galvanising bath is 13,000 × 1,600 × 3,200 mm.
In-process control
Incoming metal inspection, dimensional checks, visual and ultrasonic inspection of welds, zinc thickness measurement, qualified welders.
No minimum order
There is no minimum order requirement.
Typical lead time: 3–4 weeks
If the product you need is not in stock, the typical lead time is 3–4 weeks. For one-off orders we give the exact time after the calculation.

We confirm lead times and volumes for your order after reviewing the drawings.
Steel fabrication: process, materials, quality control
How ordering works
- you send KM (structural) or KMD (shop-detail) drawings or a sketch; if there are no drawings, we can produce them — Steel structure design;
- we review the drawings, choose the steel grade and the process, and calculate the price and lead time;
- we make the parts and assemblies, weld the structure and, if needed, galvanise it;
- we inspect the product and ship it to your site.
There is no minimum order: we make single items as well as large batches.
Production operations
- cutting sheet and rolled steel to the drawings — parts of the required length and shape;
- bending sheet on a 2000 t press: sheet up to 25 mm thick and up to 12 m long — more in Sheet metal bending;
- welding the longitudinal seam of the shaft and welding on flanges and other assemblies;
- processing angle steel for lattice structures: cutting to length, bolt holes, assembly and welding of joints;
- hot-dip galvanising in a 13,000 × 1,600 × 3,200 mm bath — Hot-dip galvanising;
- quality control at the fabrication stages — Quality control of steel structures.
Materials
The main steel grades we fabricate from are St3, S245, S345 and 09G2S. The grade for your product is chosen according to the load, the temperature conditions of service and the requirements of the design.
Steel composition also affects hot-dip galvanising: the appearance and thickness of the coating depend on silicon and phosphorus. See the article Designing for hot-dip galvanising.
Quality control
- incoming inspection of the metal;
- checking of dimensions and geometry;
- visual inspection of welds;
- ultrasonic testing of welds;
- measurement of the zinc coating thickness;
- laboratory control;
- welding is done by qualified welders.
We do not perform X-ray (radiographic) testing — if the design requires it, please tell us in advance. The company’s documents are on the About us page.
What to send for a price calculation
- KM (structural) or KMD (shop-detail) drawings or a sketch with dimensions;
- the steel grade and the number of products;
- coating requirements: hot-dip galvanising, painting or no coating;
- the required scope of inspection (for example, ultrasonic testing of welds) and the documents you need to come with the products;
- the desired lead time and the delivery address.
Articles about custom steel fabrication
Steel fabrication: frequently asked questions
What steel structures do you fabricate?
Multi-sided poles and masts, power line poles, lattice towers and antenna masts made of angle steel, flagpoles, greenhouse frames and products to the customer’s drawings.
Do you carry out all the operations yourselves?
Yes: plasma and laser sheet cutting, press bending, welding of the longitudinal seam and flanges, hot-dip galvanising, and powder coating of products that fit the 6 m oven chamber. We also make lattice structures from angle steel ourselves.
What is your production capacity?
500 t per month. We give lead times for a specific order after reviewing the drawings.
Is there a minimum order?
No, there is no minimum order requirement.
What are the lead times?
If the product you need is not in stock, the typical lead time is 3–4 weeks. For one-off orders we give the exact time after the calculation.
What quality control do you perform?
Incoming metal inspection, dimensional checks, visual and ultrasonic inspection of welds, measurement of the zinc coating thickness and laboratory control; our welders are qualified. We do not perform X-ray testing.
How much does steel fabrication cost?
Indicatively from UAH 100,000 per tonne (including VAT, as of September 2026). We give the final price after reviewing the drawings, steel grade, quantity and coating requirements.
What do I need to send for a price calculation?
KM (structural) or KMD (shop-detail) drawings or a sketch with dimensions, the steel grade, the quantity, the coating and inspection requirements and the desired lead time. Leave out anything you do not know and we will clarify.
