How to Order Poles and Masts
To get a quote quickly, prepare a few items of input data. We explain what is needed for each product, how to fill in the technical specification form and what happens after your request.

Contents
Work stages
- enquiry: by phone, email, the form on the website or a technical specification form;
- clarifying parameters: we contact you if something is missing;
- calculation and proposal: design, price, lead time;
- contract and manufacture: to the agreed specification;
- shipment and delivery to the site; delivery terms are agreed in the contract.
If you do not know some parameters, leave the field blank: we will clarify them during the calculation.
What data is needed for each product
| Product | What to send |
|---|---|
| Lighting poles | pole height and type, number and weight of luminaires, installation method (flange or embedment in the ground), coating, construction region |
| Floodlight masts | height, crown type (fixed or mobile), number and weight of floodlights, site or pitch plan, wind region |
| Power line poles | voltage, number of circuits, conductor type and cross-section, route diagram with angles, wind and ice region |
| Telecom towers | height, list of antennas (size, weight, mounting height), location, wind region |
| Substation gantries | voltage class, layout drawings, busbar loads, construction region |
| Hot-dip galvanising | a list of products with dimensions, weight and quantity, drawings or photos |
Request checklist by product type
The table above gives the minimum; the fuller the data, the more accurate the calculation. Add drawings, a site or route plan and photos of the installation location. If there is no design documentation, you can order KM-stage drawings from us on the basis of a completed technical specification form (see below).
Lighting poles
- height, fixed or lowering (hinged) design;
- installation: flange on a foundation or embedment in the ground;
- number of brackets, weight and windage area of a luminaire;
- wind region (for orientation, see the W0 table by oblast centres) and terrain type;
- coating, cable access hatch, number of poles.
Floodlight masts
- height and crown type: cross-arm, fixed or mobile;
- type, dimensions, weight and number of floodlights, their positions on the crown with elevation marks;
- ladder with guard rails, service and rest platforms, lightning rod;
- wind region, terrain type, seismicity, site or pitch plan.
Power line poles
- voltage class, number of circuits, types of conductors and earth wire;
- pole type (intermediate, tension, angle), route angles, span lengths;
- wind and ice regions, terrain type, temperatures, degree of atmospheric pollution;
- clearance from conductors to the ground, conductor arrangement, multi-sided or lattice cross-arms;
- fixing (flange on a foundation or embedment in the ground) and coating.
Telecom towers
- tower height and location;
- antennas and equipment: dimensions, weight, windage area, mounting height, quantity;
- type: multi-sided bent or lattice made of angle steel;
- lightning rod, platforms, ladder;
- wind and ice regions, terrain type, temperatures, seismicity.
Technical specification form (questionnaire)
Technical specification forms for a telecom tower, a floodlight mast and a power line pole are available in PDF and DOCX in Ukrainian, English and Russian. Download the form on the For Designers page, fill in the items you know and send it to info@polygonal.com.ua. Blank items are not a problem: we will clarify them.
The forms group the same data as the checklists above. If there is no form for your product, send the data in free form. Separate questionnaires exist for a traffic-light console pole and for requesting a quote on the equipment of a hot-dip galvanising line, which we offer; for the galvanising service, a list of products is enough.
What happens after you send a request
| Stage | What we do | What we need from you |
|---|---|---|
| Enquiry | receive the data, clarify missing parameters | data from the checklist or a completed form |
| Calculation and proposal | select the design, give the price and lead time | answers to our clarifying questions |
| Contract | agree and record the specification, the list of documents, and the payment and delivery terms | company details, confirmation of the specification |
| Manufacture | make to the specification, check at the production stages | answers to technical questions |
| Shipment | prepare the consignment, hand over the documents | delivery address and the person who will receive the consignment |
Product documents
Floodlight masts come with a passport, an operating manual and accompanying documentation; the delivery set of lighting poles includes installation diagrams and a quality certificate. The list of documents is set out in the contract.
The delivery set of a lighting pole that we prepare for dispatch contains:
- shipping elements: the shaft, brackets and fasteners according to the packing list;
- the foundation or its elements and an installation set, if the supply contract provides for them;
- installation diagrams and a quality certificate, one copy of each per batch;
- other documents provided for by the contract.
For other products the list of documents is also agreed in the contract. The requirements for lighting poles are described in the article Technical Requirements for Street Lighting Poles, the checks during manufacture in the article Quality control of steel structures. If you need a particular scope of inspection or extra documents, state it in the request.
What affects price and lead time
The price depends on the height and type of structure, loads, coating, quantity and additional elements (hatches, ladders, platforms) and delivery. The lead time depends on the complexity of the structure and production load: we give exact terms after the calculation.
The typical lead time is 3–4 weeks if the product is not in stock. We confirm the time for your order after the calculation, when the design and quantity are known.
Payment and delivery terms are agreed in the contract together with the specification. There is no minimum order for hot-dip galvanising: we accept single items as well as batches.
