PMV Floodlight Masts: 360° Lighting, Heights and Specifications

A PMV mast lights an area through 360°, so it is placed inside the site. We explain where it is used, what heights there are and what its specifications are.

A PMV mast is a floodlight mast with a ladder and a service platform that lights an area through 360°; it is used at open industrial sites.

Where PMV masts are used

A PMV lights 360°, so these masts are placed inside open industrial sites. According to the catalogue they are meant for large open areas, HV substation switchyards, compressor and railway stations, construction sites and quarries, oil and gas production sites, storage yards and warehouses.

For 180° lighting there are PMT masts, and for sports facilities PMO masts with an inclined crown. An overview of all ranges is on the page Floodlight Masts.

How a PMV mast is built

  • the mast is fitted with a lightning rod, a service platform, rest platforms for the climb and a caged ladder;
  • for easier transport the shaft is made of sections no longer than 12 m;
  • corrosion protection is hot-dip galvanising;
  • we design it individually for the required illuminance and list of equipment.

PMV heights and marks

The PMV range combines masts from the catalogue “Structures for outdoor lighting” (16, 20, 25 and 30 m) and from the unified design TP-PMV.21.01 (20, 24, 30 and 34 m). For PMV-16 and PMV-25 the anchor cage is calculated for the project. An example calculation for PMV-30 is in the article 30 m Floodlight Mast.

How to order a PMV mast

Send the mast height, the number and type of floodlights, the wind region, the terrain type and the city. We calculate the design, propose a foundation and quote the price and lead time; erection is carried out by a licensed construction partner company.

PMV masts: frequently asked questions

How does the PMV differ from the PMT?

In the lighting angle: the PMV lights 360°, the PMT 180°. Both masts have a ladder and a service platform.

What heights do PMV masts come in?

According to the catalogue, 16, 20, 25 and 30 m; according to the unified design, 20, 24, 30 and 34 m. We calculate any other height to order.

Is the PMV suitable for a stadium?

For stadiums and sports grounds there are PMT masts (180° lighting) and PMO masts (inclined crown). The PMV lights 360° and is meant for open industrial sites.
