How Much Does a Flagpole Cost: Price and What Drives It
The price of a flagpole depends on the series, that is on how the flag is raised: FShR with a manual drive starts from UAH 25,000, FShL with a hand winch from UAH 200,000 and FShP with an electric drive from UAH 500,000. Prices include VAT. The foundation embedded part is paid for separately. We explain what the price covers and how to get an exact figure.

Prices by series
There are three flagpole series by the way the flag is raised. Prices include VAT and are the lower guide for the standard marks of the series. The final cost for your height, flag and conditions comes from a calculation on request.
| Series | Catalogue heights | Flagpole, from, UAH incl. VAT | Foundation embedded part, from, UAH incl. VAT |
|---|---|---|---|
| FShR, manual drive | 10–20 m | 25,000 | 6,000 |
| FShL, hand winch | 20–30 m | 200,000 | 23,000 |
| FShP, electric drive | 30–100 m | 500,000 | 36,000 |
The “from” prices are the lower guide for the standard marks of the series. Any other height and any flag size are made on request, and the cost for them is worked out on request.
What the price includes and what is charged separately
The supply includes the flagpole: shaft with sections, top pulley or rotating head, hatch with a lock (in the FShL and FShP series), lifting mechanism, remote control (in FShP), flag and fastening fittings. The detailed scope and the division of responsibility are in What the flagpole supply includes.
The embedded part (anchor block) is paid for separately: its price is in the table above. The foundation, the placement project, electrical work to connect the drive, earthing and lightning protection are done by the customer. Obstruction lights are agreed with the customer in each case.
Delivery is priced separately, to the site address. Erection is usually done by the customer; if needed it is done by a licensed construction partner and priced separately too. How the work on site goes is described in How to install a flagpole and Assembling a tall flagpole.
What the cost depends on
Series. The way the flag is raised sets both the height range and the price: a manual halyard in FShR, a lockable hand winch in FShL, an electric drive at 220 or 380 V with a remote control in FShP. More about the series is in Flagpole series.
Height and flag size. The taller the flagpole and the larger the flag, the more metal in the shaft. The mark of a flagpole shows its height and the flag area it is designed for, see Flagpole designations. Standard marks are designed for wind region V and terrain type I, so they suit any region of Ukraine.
Obstruction lights. Whether they are needed depends on the location relative to aerodromes, not only on height, and is agreed with the customer separately.
Coating. Hot-dip galvanizing to DSTU EN ISO 1461 is included in the price of the flagpole. Painting over the zinc in the customer’s colour is done to separate order and adds to the total. How the price of galvanizing as a separate service is formed is described in Cost of hot-dip galvanizing.
Finial and non-standard solutions. The finial is made of steel with a zinc coating, and at the customer’s request it can be anything. The cost of non-standard heights and flags is worked out on request.
Why two flagpoles of the same height cost differently
Height is only one coordinate. At 20 m the catalogue has two flagpoles: FShR-20 with a manual halyard and FShL-20 with a hand winch. They differ in drive and therefore in price. At 30 m it is the same: FShL-30 raises the flag with a winch, FShP-30 with an electric drive and a remote control.
So compare two offers for a “30 m flagpole” only on the same scope: series, flag, and whether the offer includes the embedded part, delivery, remote control and lights. Otherwise the comparison is only nominal.
What to put in your request so the price is calculated, not guessed
The fuller the request, the less we have to clarify. Write:
- the height and number of flagpoles;
- the size and number of flags;
- the town, from which we determine the load conditions;
- how the flag is to be raised: manual halyard, hand winch or electric drive;
- whether obstruction lights are needed and whether there is an aerodrome nearby;
- whether painting over the zinc is needed and in which colour;
- the embedded part, delivery and erection, if needed.
Leave blank what you do not know and we will clarify. The request can be sent from the Flagpoles page, which also shows completed work.

Frequently asked questions about flagpole prices
How much does a flagpole cost?
It depends on the series. FShR with a manual drive starts from UAH 25,000 incl. VAT, FShL with a hand winch from UAH 200,000, FShP with an electric drive from UAH 500,000. The price for your height and flag comes from a calculation on request.
How much does the embedded part cost?
The foundation embedded part (anchor block) costs from UAH 6,000 incl. VAT for the FShR series, from UAH 23,000 for FShL and from UAH 36,000 for FShP. Its price is not included in the cost of the flagpole.
Why does the price say “from”?
The final amount depends on height, flag size, series, coating and extra requirements. “From” is the lower guide for standard marks, not the price of every flagpole.
Are delivery and erection included in the price?
No. Delivery is priced separately. Erection is usually done by the customer; if needed it is done by a licensed construction partner, also at a separate cost.
Does the colour of the flagpole affect the price?
Yes. The standard coating is hot-dip galvanizing, which is included. Painting over the zinc in the customer’s colour is done to separate order and adds to the total.
Can I order a single flagpole?
Yes. There is no minimum quantity for flagpoles: you can order one.
What should I send to get a cost calculated?
The height, flag size, town, how the flag is to be raised, the need for lights and painting, and whether the embedded part, delivery and erection are needed. Leave blank what you do not know.
