What’s in the catalogue

The «Outdoor Lighting Structures» catalogue is POLYGONAL’s consolidated print catalogue: lighting columns, floodlight masts, catenary masts, lightning masts, brackets, crossarms, caps and foundation anchor cages.

Inside: dimensions and applications for 6 lighting-column series (p. 2-7), PM floodlight masts (p. 8-9), BKMG and BKM catenary masts (p. 10-11), brackets, crossarms and caps (p. 13-14), foundation anchor cages (p. 15-16), MO multi-sided lightning masts, PMT, PMV and PMO floodlight masts (p. 17-18), contacts (p. 19).

Exact dimensions, loads and foundation anchor cages for each height are given in the catalogue on that series’ own page. Lighting columns, masts and catenary masts are made to TU U 25.1-39573934-001:2016, lightning masts to TU U 25.1-39573934-002:2018.

Who it’s for

The catalogue covers the full range of lighting columns: parks and courtyards, streets and residential areas, roads and highways, industrial sites and sports venues, as well as tram and trolleybus catenary masts and lightning protection.

Brackets, crossarms and caps are selected separately for the pole type and the number of luminaires or floodlights; foundation anchor cages — for the pole type and design load.

How to order

Manufactured to TU U 25.1-39573934-001:2016 (lighting columns, masts, catenary masts, brackets, anchor cages) and TU U 25.1-39573934-002:2018 (lightning masts). Material: S245/S255 steel, hot-dip galvanised to DSTU EN ISO 1461:2024.

For an exact model, use the page for the series you need on our site, or send us the input data (height, wind region, terrain type, equipment) in our technical specification form.

Example: how to read the catalogue and pick a size

The series sheets (pp. 2–7) share one layout: symbols on the left, the “Розміри опор” (pole dimensions) and “Область застосування опор” (application range) tables on the right. Take UMO-8 (УМО-8 in the original, p. 5).

  • dimensions: top Ø 60 mm, base Ø 206 mm, hatch 500 × 90 mm, M24 × 4 anchors, FPO-1000-1 anchor cage;
  • at the pole base: shear force Q = 2.05 kN, moment M = 12.18 kN·m;
  • permitted luminaire area at 500 Pa (terrain type III, Caer = 1): 1.786 m² on the pole axis, 1.437 m² on a single-arm bracket with 1.5 m reach (0.631 m² for a double-arm 2 × 1.5 m bracket).

The neighbouring size has different values: UMO-7 with the same bracket allows 1.866 m² at 500 Pa. So for luminaires totalling, say, 1.5 m², the table allows UMO-7 (1.5 < 1.866) and UMO-8 does not (1.5 > 1.437).

Parameters by series and conditions of use

A summary of the “Pole dimensions” tables. Base diameter and anchor cage type depend on the height, so ranges are given.

Questions about the outdoor lighting structures catalogue

How do BKMG and BKM catenary masts differ?

By how they’re fixed: BKMG is mounted directly into the ground, while BKM is anchor-fixed to an FKM foundation anchor cage. Both series come in 7.3 and 9 m heights, with rated loads from 800 to 2,500 kg.

Where can I find exact dimensions and loads for a specific pole height?

On that series’ own page (for example, PMO, UMO or DMO poles) — it lists the dimensions, loads and foundation anchor cage type for every height in this catalogue.

What do the 400–600 Pa values in the application-range table mean?

They give the permitted total luminaire area in m² for each wind pressure value. The higher the pressure, the smaller the area: for UMO-8 on the pole axis it falls from 2.396 m² at 400 Pa to 1.387 m² at 600 Pa.

What are the conditions of use for DMO poles?

They are designed as intermediate poles with a double bracket up to 2 m in height and reach: the ABC cable is hung at a height of up to 7 m, the maximum cable size is 4 × 35 and the span is up to 40 m. Other conditions call for special poles after separate calculations.
